Blood Flow Restrictions Training online is here.  My Performance Rehab is proud to announce we have CEU approval through both the NSCA and APTA:

  • The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) approved 0.3 CEU(s) in Category D for certified individuals who successfully complete this course.
  • The Indiana American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved 2.5 CEUs in Category I for licensed individuals who successfully complete this course.

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is a rehabilitation intervention and performance-enhancing tool that has shown potential to rapidly improve exercise and rehabilitation paradigms. Hundreds of peer-reviewed published literature substantiates the validity, mechanism(s), efficacy and safety of using BFR systems. By intermittently restricting blood flow during exercise, findings demonstrate significant and substantial gains in strength, muscle hypertrophy, injury recovery and endurance – often within abbreviated timetables from traditional training or rehab.  During this course, attendees will:

  • Learn the history and current literature of BFR training
  • Understand the mechanisms of how BFR training works
  • Appreciate the elements that make BFR training safe
  • Discuss the efficacy of BFR training & the populations for whom it is effective
  • Understand practical application and “best practices” to utilize with patients/clients
  • Learn how to utilize fatigue, restrictive pressures and exercise programming for effective BFR use
